Letters have outraged Worthington Park students

To the Editor:

I am a sixth grade student at Worthington Park Elementary, I am absolutely outraged about these letters that have been talking trash about the school.

Half the people sending these letters I have never even heard of, and they have no right to be saying these things! Sure there is a little "bullying" at recess, but it should not be compared to Vietnam, as one letter-writer said.

Even though I used to be bullied as a kid, and I stayed strong and the bullies got bored and stopped, but no one has ever done anything that made me think the playground was Vietnam.

Personally, I don't think anyone should ever compare a school to Vietnam. Especially a school your child attends, as in the Dec. 12 letter to the editor by Ron Carter.

We (Worthington Park) Have been getting these awful letters for too long.

Last week, my teacher said: "Did you see the letters in the newspaper? Someone said our playground looked like Vietnam."

Everyone in the classroom was very angry, including me and my friends. These letters have hurt my feelings and made me upset, so please stop talking trash about us!
