Nearly 700 to receive diplomas

Nearly 700 seniors are set to graduate from Worthington's two high schools on Sunday, June 6.

The Worthington Kilbourne commencement will be at 2 p.m. at the Schottenstein Center.

Speakers will be class president Matt Goldberg, Superintendent of Schools Melissa Conrath and Worthington Board of Education president Julie Keegan.

Of the 341 expected to graduate, 127 earned honors diplomas and 35 will graduate with highest honors, meaning they attained grade-point-averages of 4.0 or higher.

Those graduating with a 4.0 or higher from Kilbourne are: BJ Hwang, Kristin Moore, Danielle Hart, Kristyn Burgess, Maria Kharakovsky, Stephanie DiBartola, Rebecca Borden, Jessica Williams, Kristen Bond, Leslie Stovall, Holly Chen, Kelsey Koke, Laura Millar, Matt Goldberg, Mary Kate Blackmon, Melanie Swick, Roy Greim, Preston Gall, Taylor Kuepfer, Julie Young, Elizabeth Martin, Jaclyn Mowery, Ian O'Keefe, Ryhan Hassan, Namhyeon Kim, Kevin Jiang, Peter Worley, Nathan Sparks, Kyle Troutner, Joshua Keller, Kevin Metka, Matt Mayberry, Robbie Schram, Emily Singeltary and Bernard Wen.

At 7 p.m. at the Schottenstein Center, 357 are expected to receive Thomas Worthington High School diplomas.

Honorary speakers will be Claire Shipman and Susannah Shipman.

The greeting and class welcome will be presented by class president Karam Christopher Sheban. Moments of reflection will be presented by Anna Elizabeth Simmons, student body president.
